Did you know ?

On average, we spend more than 6 hours a day using smartphones, tablets, looking at our computer screens, television or playing video games.

However, all these screens from a modern generation with “LED backlighting” emit “blue” light, also called HEV (High Visible Energy).

The consequences of exposure to blue light

Our eyes' natural filters do not provide enough protection against blue light from digital screens and LED bulbs.

This blue light, almost as dangerous as ultraviolet light, can cause:

short term,

  • headaches
  • stinging in the eyes
  • visual fatigue
  • insomnia

long-term,

  • irreversible damage to the eyes (cataract, AMD: Age-Related Macular Degeneration).
